Nepal Introduction
The Healing Touch Community has made significant contributions to recovery from the April 25, 2015 earthquake in Nepal. The Healing Touch (HT) Community in Nepal, led by Aparna Bhatta, HTCP/I, has provided HT and other relief services to many injured and displaced Nepalese. She and her students have worked in the hardest hit and most inaccessible regions, where medical assistance is minimal and major relief organizations and the Nepal government have had little impact. As part of caring for client needs, Aparna and her students have provided or arranged for food, drugs and shelter for the people they help through HT. Fundraising through HTWF generated $14,000 to support her efforts. The foundation contributed an additional $3000, bringing the total funds provided to $17,000!
These funds, along with funds donated by others, provided transportation for the HT workers and some food and similar support, so they can do their work. A larger portion of the funds helped with immediate basic client survival needs, such as providing shelter from the monsoon storms and medical supplies.
HTWF fully supports her ongoing relief work and the introduction of HT into homes, medical facilities and schools. We thank you all for your generous donations for the HT Nepal Community during this difficult time. Continued support is needed, as recovery from a disaster of this magnitude takes time. HTWF will continue to collect and distribute funds to our HT family in Nepal and will be assisting Aparna with growing HT in Nepal.

After the death of her family’s pet, Janet Mentgen established the HTA Fund to support healing projects for animals and their owners.
Animal funds were used to support a driving team in the International Para-Equestrian Competition. The United States Driving for the Disabled, Inc. holds the distinguished privilege of supporting a team to represent the United States of America in international competitions every two years. Carol Komitor served as “Groom” to the Team USA 2004 for the horses in competition and their drivers. The Woolverton Driving Team brought home a fifth place with the largest driving contingent ever: three team members, one individual driver, and one individual pair driver.

Our Angel Sharon
Just one of the many ways Sharon Robbins shared her dedication and passion for Healing Touch was her active participation as a member of the HTWF Board of Directors. For 3 years she was a member of the marketing committee working to excite and promote HTWF in its mission to receive and distribute funds to assist, encourage and advance the philosophy, objectives and techniques of Healing Touch. One of Sharon’s personal passions became providing continued and sustainable support for Military outreach. A special fund through HTWF is still in place that allows your donations to HTWF to specifically go toward these projects. Consider making a generous donation to HTWF to further Sharon’s heartfelt desire to reach out to those in need. Sharon touched the lives of many with her involvement and her persistent and consistent connection with others. She was inclusive, interested, and inviting. She is missed.
