"Happy Summer from HTWF!"

Heel to Heal 5k Walk/Run & 10k Run Cincinnati
5th Annual Heel to Heal
After the months of hard work planning and organizing we had the best turnout in our 5th annual Heel to Heal race. We had 122 registrants, the oldest was Kathleen Duval, at 77 years old. The youngest participant was 8 year old Cooper Wallner who ran with his mom and dad. The weather was perfect, volunteers scurried to set up in one hour before race day registration opened.
We raised $11,000! I would like to thank the planning team whom I could not of organized the race without. Jean Fudge for developing our Heel to Heal website, Sue Wheeler for all the graphic artist work for registration card, signage and creating spectacular T-shirt designs over the year's, Kay Ryan for her extremely organized help in managing the t-shirts from delivery to race day pick up, Pam Taylor for creating and managing a race Facebook page, Mary Duennes for administrative support and the best MC one could have, and Sharon Mirman for planning and race day support. It's time for this Race Director to hang up her running shoes, if anyone is interested in taking this position please contact me.

SEEKING HTWF COMMITTEE MEMBERS
The Healing Touch Worldwide Foundation is actively seeking Healing Touch community members with a background in marketing and/or fundraising to join these committees. Interested persons should be able to commit to offering 3 hours per month to the committee, and have experience in one or more of the following activities: social media, newsletters, writing articles, fundraising, etc. For additional information please email Karen Chin at  Goldenphoenix54@yahoo.com
HTWF-Funded Research Updates
The Foundation is currently supporting two on-going research studies into the efficacy of Healing Touch. One is at the St. Joseph Medical Center in Maryland, and the other is at Nemours/Alfred I. DuPont Hospital for children in Wilmington, Delaware. Both are in their final stages synthesizing the data they gathered. We are looking forward to sharing their results with you in the near future!
Coming Soon!
HTWF is collaborating with Healing Touch Program to create a special curriculum to be used, in part, in our "Let's Reach Out" initiative to bring Healing Touch to communities and populations most in need. This is an exciting work-in-progress, and we will keep you updated throughout the process!
Thank you, and farewell!
We'd like to say a big Thank You to Donna Adams who joined the HTWF board this past November. She recently made the difficult decision to leave the board after 6 months, when her dream job quickly and unexpectedly manifested in a huge way prompting a big move from Chevy Chase, MD to Sedona, AZ! She is understandably busy settling into a new state, house, job, and lifestyle. Donna's enthusiasm, wisdom writing and editorial contributions has enriched our efforts, and we are grateful to her contribution.
Good Luck, Donna!!

Marketing Updates
We welcome a new Marketing team member, Sue Wheeler. She comes to us with a wonderful marketing background and has graciously offered to help us with some of our various tasks that help make us tick!  Many hands make light work ...

We would also like to welcome board member Renata Maniaci as our interim marketing chair. She has agreed to step in temporarily while HTWF seeks someone with background experience and qualifications in marketing to take the Foundation to the next level!

That's all for now. Enjoy the summer!
