Nepal HT Community: Bringing Janet's Vision to Schools

June 7, 2015 - Sampurna Singh, Healing Touch Level 4 Student writes:

"We are glad to share with you all that we have today started our Self Care Healing Touch for school teachers, staffs and Principal in one of the Model Primary School, Traibidya Shikshhya Sadan, Sankhamul. This is a school where the Modern Teaching Methodology is being followed. We also felt that the Principal, Mrs. Sangita Shrestha is well-versed with the teaching methodology she is following for the school children. The school is keen on having the Self Care Healing Touch for her Children and the staffs/ Teachers. We are also requested to visit her school every second week of every month.

Apart, we are also going to have a grand gathering of near about 100 participants (Principals, Teachers, Staffs). We request all our Healer friends to help/join us in this venture to help people (Board members of different schools) in the coming week. We also expect our HTWF friends to pray and bless us, and also guide us in doing this project successfully."

Aparna and HT Students: Bringing Janet's Vision to Homes

June 1, 2015 - Aparna writes:

"Yes we are reaching and providing relief support to those who has not been supported by other relief agencies. The tendency of many relief agencies take truck load of supplies to the road head and distribute to the surrounding people. They don't go to the real victims if they cannot drive. Only handful people are benefiting from the most of the relief agencies."

Aparna and HT Students: Bringing Janet's Vision to Hospitals

June 1, 2015 - Aparna writes:

"I know there are many healing touch activities we can do but at this stage we cannot focus on just providing healing, for example, Kanchhi Tamang 84 yr old lady from Sindupalchoak was buried when her house was collapsed. She was buried for an hours when she rescued her ankle was broken cuts in many parts of the body. After 4 weeks, I and our medical team were walking from one medical camp to another camp (Giranchaur Sindupalchoak to Bhotechaur). We found Kanchhi on the way, she did not receive proper treatment, broken bones were infected. She did not have enough food, she was sleeping with her goats and chickens under the small tarpolin, thousands of mosquito bites. How can I just provide her Healing Touch? To comfort and reduce her pain, we gave healing sessions, made arrangement to bring her up to hospital. Somebody had to carry her on their back for hours. We did 1st aid there, brought her to hospital, treated her wound, put cast on her leg, send her back home with food, medicines, mosquito net, blankets and clothes. The need is unlimited. Our HT student from her area is providing her regular healing touch sessions and moral support".

Aparna goes on to say:

"This disaster is bringing lot of all physical, mental, emotional and spiritual problems - millions of people living under tents, most toilets, pipe lines, drinking water pipe lines are broken, poor nutrition, stressful life, millions of animals were killed. No supplement food, cows and buffaloes were killed. I already saw thousand of children and mothers and pregnant women are malnourished, they are susceptible to any disease. I cannot explain how we are going to cope in monsoon. Many people are already suffering from communicable diseases".
